Many of us use our iPhones for video now days and why not because the smart phone world has grown and the iPhone 13Pro I have is still great for video. Yet are we using tools like Open Gate shooting? How can you enable it on the iPhone 13Pro and other iPhones models? In this video I share about the Blackmagic Camera Application free for iPhone and how it will enable you to shoot video both portrait and landscape using the complete sensor of your iPhone. The gate represents the crop that happens when you shoot portrait and landscape modes automatically. Open Gate uses the entire sensor of your iPhone. When you record in normal modes you have tge abilty toi tune your phone and shoot video in portrait and landscape but you have a crop on the sensor. With "open gate' the crop effect on the sensor changes and opens up the video and gives you more information in the frame so that you can then crop it later in post. Value of Open Gate? To shoot once and then use this new video frame for a portrait and landscape video for different social media needs. In the portrait mnmode the exgtra space allolws you to change and adjust the portrait crop latter in post as well in case you are not perfect in your frame.
